Qualifications BDS MJDF MClinDent (Perio)
Bhavya qualified as a Dentist in 2005 and gained her periodontal specialist qualification in Sheffield (UK)in 2012.
She is proficient in all aspects of non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatment including bone regeneration and treatment of gum related problems such as recession and gummy smile.
Following her periodontology training she embarked on restorative training at Sheffield University covering aspects of implant dentistry and treatment of patient with tooth wear and occlusal problems.
Her 9 years plus experience of dental practice and above training has contributed to her well rounded skills for a holistic patient centred approach to treatment. Bhavya’s approach toperiodontal therapy is centred on creating an understanding of the importance of good periodontal health. By achieving this, and subesquent patient motivation, a non-surgical solution can often be found, however where necessary she uses surgical periodontal therapy to attain optimal results.
She is committed to her speciality and has undertaken extensive research related to a novel diode laser for the treatment of periodontal disease in immunocompromised patients.
She has presented her research in European society of Periodontal meeting in Austria in 2012.She is a member of the British Society of Periodontology and European Federation of Periodontology and regularly attends CPD updates to upkeeps her knowledge and skills in both periodontology and general dentistry.
